Giolito At Fenway: Lucas Giolito made his 1st start at Fenway with the Red Sox and he was unable to get out of the 4th Inning. Giolito exited after giving up 5 runs on 7 hits in the frame. The righty allowed 10 hits and 6 earned runs in taking his 1st loss of the season. Giolito kept the ball in the ballpark, and it ended a streak of 8 straight games where the Red Sox starting pitcher gave up at least 1 Home Run.

Hitter Notes: Kristian Campbell hit in the cleanup spot for the 2nd straight game. Campbell broke out of an 0-for-10 slide at the plate with a 2-out RBI single in the 6th Inning. Trevor Story went 0-for-4 with 3 strikeouts in the opener. Over his last 12 games, Story has 6 hits in 50 at-bats and no extra-base hit and 2 RBIs in 14 consecutive games. The Red Sox struck out 10 times against Rangers pitcher Tuesday night and the team has now struck out 10 or more times 20 times thru its 1st 37 games
