The Red Sox (40-39) committed 2 costly errors in Sunday's 9-5 loss in the series finale against the Giants at Oracle Park in San Francisco. The Giants went in front for good with 4 runs across against the Red Sox bullpen in the Bottom of the 7th Inning. With the errors by Jarren Duran in the Bottom of the 3rd and Romy Gonzalez fielding error at 2nd-Base in the 7th 5 of the 8 runs were unearned against Lucas Giolito and Red Sox relievers. Duran and manager Alex Cora were both ejected in the 8th Inning. The Sox are currently 3-3 on their 9-game Road Trip.

Sox at the Dish: Rob Refsnyder and Romy Gonzalez hit Home Runs in the 5th Inning against Giants starter, Robbie Ray. Ceddanne Rafaela broke a 4-4 tie with 2nd Home Run of the series and 8th on the season in the Top of the 6th. Rafaela had 4 extra-base hits in the series against the Giants.  The Sox have hit 8 Home Runs on their current road trip.

Giolito in the Finale: Lucas Giolito exited with a lead after going 6 innings in the start on Sunday and he ended up with a no-decision.  Giolito allowed 4 runs (2 ER) over 6. He allowed 2 Home Runs, both in the 5th Inning which allowed the Giants to tie the game up at 4-4.  With Sunday's loss, the Red Sox are now 6-4 in Giolito's 10 Starts.

#'s of the DAY: The Red Sox now lead the Majors with 68 Errors thru their 1st 79 Games.  The Sox streak of winning 4 straight series came to an end on Sunday. The Red Sox streak of winning the final game of the series also ended at 6 in a row.  Rafael Devers went 2-for-12 in the series with a HR, 2 RBIs and 3 strikeouts against his former club. The Red Sox are now 34-19 when they hit a Home Run.

Roster Moves: The Red Sox announced on Sunday that Hunter Dobbins has been placed on the IL with a right elbow strain. Richard Fitts has been called up from Triple-A Worcester. Dobbins was the probable starting pitcher for Wednesday's finale against the Angels in Anaheim.

What's On Tap?: The longest road trip of the season wraps up with 3 in Anaheim against the Angels starting Monday night in Anaheim. Walker Buehler is expected to get the mound start against the Angels and Jack Kochanowicz. After the road trip wraps up on Wednesday, the Red Sox are home for 6 games with 3 against the Toronto Blue Jays and 3 against the Cincinnati Reds.
