The Red Sox squandered a 6-0 lead and ended getting walked off in the bottom of the 10th as the Blue Jays evented up the series with a 7-6 victory Wednesday night at Rogers Centre in Toronto.  The loss ended the Red Sox 3-game winning streak.  The Red Sox are 3-2 on their current 6-game road trip that wraps up Thursday night.  Justin Slaten gave up the game-winning hit to Alejandro Kirk in the bottom of the 10th and he took the loss.

Lucas Debuts: Lucas Giolito made his Red Sox debut in the middle game of the 3-Game Series vs. the Blue Jays. Giolito exited with a 6-3 lead after 6 strong innings but ended up with a no-decision.  The 30-year-old made his 1st start since 2023.  He ran into trouble in his final inning on the mound. Giolito gave up a 2-out walk and then a 2-run Home Run to Daulton Varsho.  The next hitter Alejandro Kirk followed with a solo Home Run to make it 6-3.  He walked 2 and struck out 7.

Home Run Derby: Alex Bregman hit a solo Home Run in the 1st for the 2nd straight night and gave the Red Sox an early 2-0 lead.  It's Bregman's team-leading 7th of the season and it also extended his hit streak to 10 straight games.  Carlos Narvaez made it 6-0 with a 2-run Home Run in the 6th Inning. It's his 3rd of the season. The Red Sox have hit at least 1 Home Run in 15 of their last 16 Games and have hit 40 Home Runs over their 1st 32 Games.

Jays Going Yard Too: The Blue Jays got back into the game with 3 Home Runs.  They entered Wednesday's game with 16 Home Runs over their 1st 29 Games. Garrett Whitlock gave up a game-tying, 3-run Home Run to Anthony Santander in the 7th Inning, his 4th of the season.

#'s of the NIGHT: The Red Sox are now 12-3 when scoring 1st this season.  The Red Sox scored 4 of their 6 runs with 2 outs in an inning.  The Sox also fall to  11-3 this season when scoring 5 or more runs.  Trevor Story went 0-fot-5 in the extra-inning loss and now has 2 hits in his last 34 at-bats.
