The Cincinnati Reds took care of business Friday night at Great American Ball Park, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 7-2. Elly De La Cruz led the way offensively with a four-hit night, while TJ Friedl and Tyler Stephenson each launched home runs to fuel the scoring. Nick Martinez gave the Reds five strong innings on the mound, setting the tone before the bullpen came in and tossed four shutout frames to lock it down. With the win, the Reds continue to build momentum as they send All-Star Andrew Abbott to the mound Saturday, looking to clinch the series.
