The Cincinnati Reds secured a decisive 7-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Thursday afternoon, snapping a three-game losing streak. Starting pitcher Nick Martinez delivered a dominant performance, allowing only two hits and striking out three over seven shutout innings . Offensively, the Reds showcased their power, with Elly De La Cruz, Matt McLain, and Will Benson each hitting a home run. Benson led the team with a 2-for-3 outing, driving in three RBIs, including his first homer of the season . Gavin Lux continued to excel in the leadoff spot for the second consecutive game, filling in admirably for the injured TJ Friedl. The Reds' offense was relentless, scoring in five of the first six innings, while the White Sox struggled to generate offense, managing only four hits and scoring their lone run in the eighth inning.
