I have struggled with feelings of frustration, stress, and anger for sometime. These emotions often control my behavior and has dampen my relationships, mental health and overall well-being. Ideas for healthy emotional expression
- Pause before reacting. Think about what you're going to say. How may the person interpret it?
- Timing, what emotional state is your body in?
- I can explain “I feel in order to complete this task I need for you to provide me with this information.
- Let go of control, if things don't go as planned it's okay. On occasion some of my tasks are partner based, therefore possibly relying on them for guidance can be a solution.
- Can you talk to someone who has no stack in the task and get their thoughts.
- Writing down your feelings, this can be therapeutic.
- Or putting that frustration into a creative outlet like music.
