"she was tall, she was slim, she was beautiful. the minute they announced my name, she rushed off the stage. you could hear her literally backstage, like, I lost to a fat girl."
phaith montoya, a plus-size fashion icon, turned these hurtful words into fuel for her rise. phaith could have let these words break her—but regardless, she chose to rise and we love her for it.
now a powerful voice in fashion with millions of followers, she’s redefining beauty standards and challenging body image norms. phaith is also a mental health advocate with NAMI, breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness.
this episode is a reminder that facing judgement & rejection is inevitable - whether it's coming from the outside world or from ourselves. but we always have a choice in the matter - to let those comments break us or work through the emotions & rise above.
regardless, we'd rather grow. x

To my heartbroken sisters out there, hit play on this episode when the weight of heartbreak feels too heavy to bear.
Whether you’re grieving a relationship, a job, or something else, you’re not alone. You don’t always have to be the strong one. Lean on your people; it’s okay to not be okay. ❤️
Just two months ago, I was knocked down—losing my 9-to-5 hit me like a sucker punch, and then life decided to hit me again…
This episode is a SHOUTOUT to my incredible support system (aka my emotional SWAT team) - my family, amazing friends, and mentors. It’s been empowering & so surreal to see how many people are rallying behind me during this time. I want to honor and deeply thank you all—you know who you are.
And if you’re feeling like you don’t have that kind of support, know that you don’t have to face this alone. You have me. You have Regardless, and we’re in this together.
Even when I didn’t have the answers (and honestly, I still don’t), my family & friends do. I’m excited to share the reminders my best friends recorded for me on my 27th birthday. I asked them, “What do you want me to step into and embrace this year?” These reminders have been my saving grace and a mirror for all of us.
Regardless of heartache, let's grow. We're resilient.

One of the weirdest things about our 20s is how quickly reality can shift—whether it’s your job, your relationships, or even your wildest dreams. For all the aspiring entrepreneurs out there, this conversation with Isabella Biscarini is the perfect blend of hope, inspiration, and raw honesty.
Isabella’s journey from going viral overnight to launching True Tone Swimwear is nothing short of ‘what the heck just happened?!’ We dive into what it’s really like to build a business, take the leap into the unknown, and hustle as a full-time entrepreneur as a 20something. But, as Isabella reminds us, success is rarely instant—it’s about embracing the grind, navigating fear, and finding strength in vulnerability.
What we talk about:
Regardless of whether or not you aspire to be an entrepreneur, this episode is a powerful reminder that regardless of what dream we are building. Don’t stop. You’ve got this. xx

This episode is your reminder that it’s OKAY, NORMAL, and HEALTHY to feel like your 20s are one of the most anxiety-inducing decades of your life. If you’re grappling with uncertainty, questioning your career, navigating relationships, or feeling the pressure to "have it all together" before 30—you're not alone. Trust me, I get it.
That’s why I’m so excited to have Dr. Meg Jay on the show. Her work focuses on helping young adults make the most of their 20s and 30s, building resilience, and setting themselves up for success in the years to come.

Shit just got real for women, and it’s time to get tougher. This week on Regardless, I have the honor of speaking with performance coach, trauma specialist, speaker & influencer, the one & only: Annalie Howling.
Have you ever been told to be the “good girl”? You know, that message to put everyone else’s needs before your own and dim your light to keep others comfortable? We explore these challenges that so many women face, learning from a young age not to trust ourselves and the impact this has on our self-worth. It’s no wonder we often find ourselves people-pleasing or freezing in uncomfortable situations.
Annalie and I delve into trauma responses—freeze, fight, and fawn—and the immense pressures of societal expectations, from both men & women. We also discuss the importance of embracing our true selves and why it’s absolutely okay to be "too much."
Annalie shares invaluable insights on overcoming trauma, shame, and the habit of people-pleasing. We also discuss practical tips for owning your truth, prioritizing self-compassion, and breaking free from the fear of judgment.
And don’t forget to check out Annalie's latest book, Unapologetic, available online at Target, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble.

Okay guys… we're spicing things up today. I know I haven’t shared a ton about my personal journey since the spotlight has been on my guest speakers—which has been so juicy, informative, and inspiring. However, I think it's time we put the spotlight on me.
At 26-years-old, I've been through my fair share of experiences (the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful, etc.) and through these moments, I've learned and grown a LOT. I’m in the trenches with all of you. So, today, I want to reflect on some of my favorite stories and share what I’ve learned.
Join your host, (me) Skylar, in the studio for an intimate chat about Halloween. Picture this: 10-year-old Skylar as a geisha. 13-year-old Skylar as Napoleon Dynamite. 17-year-old Skylar as a Tibetan monk. 25-year-old Skylar as Ken (no, not Barbie… but Ken). Why? How? Literally, what even? Where does this confidence come from? My motto: not taking myself too seriously. And I’m going to tell you all exactly how.
P.S. Moving forward, expect to see monthly solo episodes! For this one, we also have a surprise guest… Enjoy my brave & bold babes !
