Inspired by our storyteller's morning ride through a wide-open valley in the American West, the music in this Sleep Song begins with a gentle, ambling melody on guitar, recalling a half-remembered folk tune as the music walks along through familiar, beloved country. Every so often a pause, a shift from guitar to an airy synth, offers space to marvel at the beauties of the landscape passing by. Synths with bright, celestial tones recall the morning stars above – and the expanse of the universe beyond.
