We left Part 1 with Cathryn getting into the taxi from the hospital where she had just given birth to her daughter days before. As she got into the taxi she was unexpectedly handed her baby, the baby she was never supposed to see.

This book has literally changed my heart and given me so much compassion for the birth mothers that felt they had no one to turn to to help them keep their babies. So many birth mothers and adoptees that were separated during what is called the baby scoop era that started just after WWII and ended about 1972.

This book is a MUST READ for adoptees as well as anyone that is or knows someone that has relinquished a child.
