Today we’re talking bulk vintage! I’m speaking with Daniya the owner of LA Vintage, a rag house that supplies vintage clothing, shoes and accessories to retailers, stylists, designers and wholesalers around the world.
Daniya's family started LA Vintage in 2006 and she has been running the company for the past three years. Driven by the mission to divert textiles from the landfills, Daniya and her team are able to annually recycle millions of lbs of textiles and contribute to a more circular and sustainable future.
I’ve long wanted to do an episode on the ins and outs of rag houses: how bulk vintage works, how inventory finds its way to LA Vintage, what its’ like to mass sort and grade vintage, and everything a vintage seller needs to know if they want to shop there.
I’m really, really excited for this episode, as it’s such a rich and unique conversation, so let’s dive right into it!
