Sally Obermeder knows a lot about wellness, not only as the CEO and co-founder of superfood, skincare and supplement empire Swiish, but also as a cancer survivor who in 2011 was faced with the reality that she might not make it to the 50th birthday she celebrated earlier this year.
Today, Sally - who is also a mum of two, media personality and a cast member on The Real Housewives of Sydney - sits down to explain that while she is proud of her successes, and remains in good health, there has been a lot of struggle behind her shine. She gets candid about the financial realities of running a small business, and shares a very funny story about the time she and her sister and business partner learnt they were facing bankruptcy… just as they were living the high-life in a poolside cabana at a fancy hotel.
Sally also tells us about how the sacrifices her parents made set her up for the future, fires up about the way society cuts down women who are ambitious and explains why - despite her gratitude for all that she’s achieved - she can’t bear to be told that she’s “killing it”.
