Lauren played it far too safe when she went into her first Commercial Salon Space. She was playing too small.
Lauren offered a wide range of services as opposed to going with her gut and niching-down her service offerings.
Lauren worked way too much and allowed herself to burn out (on more than one occasion).
Lauren lacked solid boundaries with Clients and solid boundaries with her Team. Poor boundaries pave the road to Burnout City.
Lauren resisted delegating tasks and responsibilities to her Team for far too long. She had to learn not to be a Control Freak.

Pro Tips for Showing Up on Socials.
Just Start. With repetition confidence builds.
Have some notes in some tangible form - plan it out on paper, tablet, outline, etc.
Schedule your Creation/Filming time into your schedule.
Wear your Uniform, and wear makeup and style your hair - you want to be ready to record when inspiration strikes (as well as in your scheduled creation slots).
Have all the Tools you need ready to go before you start to record/create.
ALWAYS JUST FILM 3 TIMES.
Stop trying to convince yourself that you're going to trolled, bagged-out, hated-on, or worse, instead ask yourself: What's the (actual) worst thing that's going to happen?

Stop focussing on attracting New Clients, and focus on optimising your current offerings and even more importantly increasing your Client Retention Rate. (You need to master looking after people, and making your Current Clients feel welcome and appreciated).
Communication (from Confirmation; to Reminders; to the Salon Experience; to Follow Up) all needs to be timely, friendly, informative and appreciative.
Keep checking in with your Clients during the service to make sure they're comfortable and content.
Be confident and ask your Clients to rebook.
Run a Loyalty Program in your Business.
Stay in contact with your Clients via text, or email, or some form of newsletter.
Survey Your Clients.
Take all feedback seriously.
Prioritise Client Retention Rate and your Business will grow.

How Lauren Moved from Employee IN her business, to Owner OF her Business.
Recognising that if your business can't continue to operate without your ongoing physical presence, you're operating as an Employee (or Manager) in your Business, and not as the Owner of your business.
Refocus your resources (over time) on training yourself less and your Team more - they will appreciate it. Create systems, policies and procedures to guide your Team toward success. Reduce your own availability slowly but surely, and expect some initial resistance from Staff, Suppliers and Clients to you reducing your availability.
Move from training yourself in Services; to expanding your learning around Marketing, Leadership and Systems Thinking & Creation.
Stop promoting yourself and your presence on your Salon socials, and re-focus your marketing on those Team Members who are still building up their columns.
