Sarah Perry just set the women’s Backyard Ultra world record with an astonishing 95 laps, covering 637 kilometers over 95 hours at Big’s Backyard Ultra World Championship in Tennessee. That’s nearly 400 miles of relentless 4.167-mile loops, run every hour on the hour, until only one runner remains. Sarah was the last woman standing. And in doing so, she didn’t just break records, she broke expectations.

A maths teacher and mountain rescue volunteer from Cumbria, Sarah brings grit, grace, and a touch of trail-running magic to everything she does. In this episode, we dive into the highs, the lows, and the surreal moments of her record-breaking run.
