So last week I went undercover, set up a fake profile, said I was a 12yr-old girl, and uncovered a huge issue on Instagram: pedophile and child p*rn accounts all over the place. Easy to find, easy to gain access to, most of these accounts have 1000,'s of people following them, sharing images and videos of kids. Accounts with names like "Love_CP" or "Little_Candy" or "Pizza...something". Pedophiles sharing links to child p*rn on their Instagram accounts, trading pics like baseball cards. Report them, and Instagram says "This account doesn't go against our community standards." What? Social media platforms like Instagram need to do a better job making their platform a safe place where children aren't being sexually exploited and abused. Facebook/IG boasts they hire the brightest minds in the world, they can addict 2B people to their platforms, give advertisers the most minutia of data on every single human, but they can't fix this issue? This episode I tell the whole story, and share insight on how child p*rnographers are using Instagram to perpetuate the creation and demand of child p*rnography, including what I think needs to change for our society to start caring more about kids.
