Hon Marsha Thomson, MLA, has sprear-hearded a project that created a resource guide for happier Indian families in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. Titled Happy Families Happy Communities, it provides detailed information and contact details of organisations that can help in case of family violence. It also provides information about Police, courts, counselling, housing, legal issues, visa issues and more....While this is a resource only for the Indian community in the western suburbs of Melbourne, it is hoped that the guide will become a template for other regions and communities.
