Neal Porter, Editorial Director of Neal Porter Books at Macmillan’s Roaring Brook Press, has an indepth discussion with Theo Baker. Part One: On Porter’s start in the industry, and working with his authors and illustrators, including the story behind the Caldecott medal-winning A Sick Day for Amos McGee, written by Philip C. Stead and illustrated by Erin E. Stead.
