Adam Hoover began his journey in the furniture industry while in college, buying and selling vintage pieces from his dorm room. In 2011 he founded Main Street Modern, how one of the country’s largest mid-century modern furniture showrooms, located in Canton, Ohio. Two years ago, Adam acquired Laubacher Upholstery (now Ohio Workroom), a thriving 10-person workroom. With a degree in financial service management and minors in entrepreneurship, real estate, international business, and communication, Adam is currently creating an all-in-one design and restoration showroom in a 100-year-old building in downtown Canton, putting both businesses under one roof.

The Wendel Works, started in 1999, is a nationally recognized custom fabrication studio specializing in inspired window and bedding designs. Owner, Gillian Wendel, bring years of fine art and graphics experience to the business as well as drapery expertise. With a BFA from Texas Christian University, she makes sure that a well proportioned design is at the center of every project. Gillian has been a frequent speaker at the annual International Window Coverings Expo as well as teaching at the Custom Sewing Institute for 6 years, a hands on conference, where she illustrated such topics as details and embellishments, hand sewing and headboards. She is a three time winner of the IWCE Vision Ingenuity Contest, a member of The Drapery and Design Professional Network, and Past President of the Houston Area Custom Drapery Association. Her work was recently included in Charles Randall’s new book, Designer Window Fashions.
