Hannah begins by breaking up with her #secretdick of a boyf for like the third episode in a row, says goodbye to a gig and a principal, and hello to old frenemy Tally (Jenny Slate) for a wild, vulnerable and at times genuinely poignant Brooklyn day. Marnie tries to talk to her mind-controlled ex/current musical collaborator before struggling with her self-directed mandate for being alone. Ray gets a special visit from a sneaky marketing pro just back from Japan who's going to try to save his coffee business, and we get a brief peek at Adam and Jessa on their way back to whatever their new, maybe-parents life is. BONUS: stay after the credits for a few minutes of Kev talking about his colonoscopy! FUN!

We're BACK on our Girls journey, and honestly, we've never been happier about it. This episode is an absolute breath of fresh, Eastern hemisphere air as we go to Shosh's new life in Japan, meet her work crush Yoshi, her gal pals, and the new life she's started and absolutely loving...at least until she gets "managed out" of it. Hannah finds a series of nudes in Fran's phone -- but don't worry, they're there for totally normal reasons no one could POSSIBLY question -- and then enlists Ray & Elijah to help class up her nude game. Adam gets a guest role on a police procedural show and even more impressively gets a sincere compliment from Jessa, and Marnie drops in for about 90 seconds that are all amazing. Oh, and there's a lot of butts in this one.

LTW considers leaving her husband because he’s sad for a week, and has a confrontation with Marion (a man!) over legitimately nothing, Seema considers whether marriage is something she wants or something that society has conditioned her into wanting, and Miranda throws a Thanksgiving for a group of people that are like what if a Fox News AI bot wrote “Brooklyn Queer People” as a character. And then…it’s over. Folks, we go long, and have a lot of thoughts and feelings.

Harry has some great lines about his not so straight line, TLDR almost annoys her losing husband into retirement, and Seema gets blown in a shower. It might seem like there’s more to it than that, but,

Here, Carrie enjoys her “writing partner” whose notes on her work include a range of advice from “that is good” to “wow, that is good,” Brady Hobbes buries the lead with a good news/bad news situation to Miranda and a returning and raging Steve, Charlotte tries to zoom with a psychic healer, the comptroller’s race comes to a conclusion, and Seema, somehow, tops herself and does her worst thing yet. Oh, and there are both big dong marionettes AND farts. It’s like they’ve been reading our fanfic!

Folks, you won’t believe how many consecutive meals are made and not eaten in this episode, and the consequences are disastrous. In an episode in which the B, C, D thru Z stories shouldn’t have even existed, LTW just says “Ozempic” twice, Joy reveals an incredible bit of self-centeredness upon Miranda’s alcoholic confession, Charlotte and Harry literally just waddle and fall down, Seema stinks (literally), Anthony finally stands up for himself with the woman of the amazing disappearing accent, and then…there’s the actual story between Carrie and Aidan. Jealousy, insecurity, finally sort of confronting some things (in way too quick a window, but, alas), and a surprising finale.
