SFPP 199: How To Price And License Commercial Photography With Tanya Smith
Tanya graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2004 and worked for 20 years as a graphic designer and art director for brands like HP, GUESS, Universal Studios Hollywood and… over 100 Dentists nationwide.
After one 8-hour day searching for the “right” stock photo for a local dentist’s newsletter, she wondered why in the world they hadn’t just done a custom photoshoot instead, and the idea for WorkStory was born.
WorkStory offers what she wished she had at her disposal for small business clients all those years ago: an alternative to generic stock photography.
In this episode, Tanya and I discuss why more photographers should consider licensing their photos + how to get started.
