第10课

1. Are there any good programs on this evening? 今天晚上有什么好节目吗？
这句话里的 on 是表示“上映”“上演”，并不是和后面的evening搭配在一起的介词。
今晚电视播什么？ What's on TV tonight? 
转换频道看看有没有什么好节目。 Change the channel to see if there are any good programs on.
“换频道”是 change the channel。
如果是连续按键换频道的话，要用复数形式 channels，比如 I change the channels.

2. I operate the TV with the remote control. 我用遥控器操作电视机。
operate 是“操作”，remote control 是“遥控（器）”，其他家电的遥控器也都可以用这个词 remote control。
看电视时拿着遥控器将频道换来换去的人叫作 couch commander。commander 是“指挥官”“司令”的意思。
我调高音量。I turn up the volume. 我调低音量。I turn down the volume. volume 是“音量”。

3. There's a good movie on TV tonight. 今晚电视上有好看的电影。
也可以说 There's a good drama on TV tonight. 今晚电视上有好看的电视剧。
这里要注意，“上电视”是 be on TV，TV前面没有冠词 the；如果是 on the TV 则是指“在电视机上面”的意思。

4. I'm going to the bathroom during the next commercial. 下一个广告时间，我要上洗手间。
commercial 是“（电视台或电台里放的）广告”。
通常，“播放广告时的空挡时间” during the commercial ，
我们会“上洗手间” go to the bathroom ，
或者“拿些零食” get some snacks ，
然后“赶快坐回去” come back in a hurry 。
