第11课

1. It's time to spread out the bedding. 该是睡觉的时间了。

It's time to... “是……的时间了”，spread out the bedding 展开被褥，表示该睡觉了。bedding 是“被褥，寝具”。
美国有两个俚语表示“去睡觉”:一个是 hit the sack，sack 指“床”或“睡袋”，还有一个是 hit the hay，hay 是“干草”。hit the sack 和 hit the hay 都是 go to bed “去睡觉”的意思。所以，“到睡觉的时间了。”也可以这么说 It's time to hit the sack. 或者 It's time to hit the hay.

2. I set the alarm clock. 我设定闹钟。

alarm clock 就是“闹钟”。如果说“（将闹钟设定）在……”是用 for... 或 to go off at...，比如“我将闹钟设在七点钟。” I set the alarm clock for seven o'clock. 或者 I set the alarm clock to go off at seven o'clock. 
有时候早上让我们清醒的并不是 alarm clock 而是 coffee——
我喝咖啡就会清醒。 Coffee wakes me up.

3. I turn off the light. 我关灯。
turn off 可以用 switch off 代替。
“开灯”可以说 turn on 或者 switch on。
晚上“我拉上（关上）窗帘”是 I draw ( close / shut ) the curtain. curtain 是“窗帘”“帘子”。
