第8课

1. I soak in the bathtub. 我泡在浴缸里。
soak 是“浸泡”“渗入”的意思。
这句话里也可以用 sit “坐”，或者 lie“躺”代替 soak，比如说 I sit (lie，soak) in the bathtub and hum. 我泡在浴缸里哼哼歌。
泡在浴缸中使我感到心情舒畅。Soaking (Sitting, Lying) in the bath relaxes me. 也可以说 It's relaxing to soak (lie) in the bath.
soak to the skin 是“湿透”，比如 I was caught in a rain shower and got soaked to the skin. 遇到大雨我浑身湿透了。

2. The water overflows from the bathtub. 水从浴缸溢出来。
浴缸里的热水用 water 就可以，hot water 会感觉意思有些过于强了。
“溢出，充满”可以用 overflow 或者 spill，也可以用于抽象事物，比如 He's overflowing with ideas. 他有满脑子的点子（主意）。

3. The bathroom gets steamy. 浴室里蒸汽蒙蒙。
steamy 是“充满蒸汽”“雾气蒙蒙”。
bathroom 是“浴室”，现在家里的浴室很多都是既有 bathtub “浴缸”也有 shower “淋浴设备”。
“洗脸盆”是 washbasin，“马桶”是 toilet 。
