第5课

1. I set up a meeting. 我安排会议。
set up 含有“（准备）安排”的意思。上一课就学过可以说 set up an appointment 安排约会。
“（在会议上分发的）资料”称为 handout。“分发”是 distribute。
为开会“准备”演讲稿或者ppt是用 prepare，可以说 I'm busy preparing for the meeting on the new product. 我为新产品会议的准备而忙碌。

2. It's time for the meeting. 开会的时间到了。
time for...是“……的时间”。
在第一章第9课学过 It's time for + 名词 和 It's time to +动词 是“到……的时间了”。
这句话也可以说 It's time to start/begin the meeting. 
如果是用 the meeting 做主语，后面常用 about to，比如说 The meeting is about to begin. 会议要开始了。
“要去开会”是 go to a meeting，“出席，参加（会议）”是用 attend，“会议室”是 meeting room 或 conference room。

3. The meeting went well. 会议进展顺利。
“顺利进行”常用 go well。此外，也会用 go smoothly，be a success（成功）。
“不顺利”是 go badly 或 be a failure（失败）。
如果是“很糟”“惨不忍睹”的话，常用 be a disaster（灾难）。
