第8课

1. I work overtime. 我加班。

work overtime 就是“加班”。

这句话也可以用 late 来表示，I work late. 我工作到很晚。

“加班费”是 overtime pay。

2. There are a few people working overtime. 有些人正在加班。

加班意味着“还有很多工作要做。”There's still a lot of work to do.

英语有个成语是 burn the midnight oil，相当于我们中文的“挑灯夜战”，可以说 I had to burn the midnight oil to complete the report. 我必须挑灯夜战来完成报告。

3. My shoulders are stiff. 我肩膀酸痛。

第一章就学过，如果前一晚没睡好，醒来时就会感到 stiff。肌肉酸痛一般是用 stiff，或者是 have stiffness in...

肩膀酸痛也可以说 I have stiff shouders.

坐久了，除了肩膀，后背也会疼，就可以说 My back is stiff. 我的背部酸痛。

请人按摩肩膀时可以说 Could you massage my shoulders?  massage 是“按摩”。
