第10课

1. I hang the laundry out to dry. 我把洗好的衣服挂在屋外晾干。
hang...out to dry 是“挂在屋外晾干”的意思。
要洗的衣服除了 laundry 也可以说 clothes 或 wash，这句话如果说成“我把洗好的衣服挂在晾衣绳上晾干。” 就是 I hang the wash(clothes/laundry) on the clothes-line. 
衣服干了，要收进来，“收进（衣服）”是用 take in 或 bring in，可以说 I take(bring) in the laundry.

2. I'd better hang the bedding out in the sun today. 我今天最好把棉被晾在屋外晒晒太阳。
今天天气很好。It's sunny day. 
今天是晾棉被的好日子。 Today's a good day to hang the bedding out.
我们会拍拍（棉被）把灰尘掸出来 hit it to get the dust out。 dust 是“灰尘”“尘土”。
让棉被蓬松起来 fluff it up。fluff 是动词“把……弄蓬松”“变蓬松”的意思，fluff 的形容词 fluffy 就是“毛茸茸的”“蓬松的”。

3. I iron the shirt. 我熨衬衫。
iron 当动词就是“熨烫（衣服）”“熨平”，做名词是“熨斗”。
第一章学过，如果早上换衣服时才发现要穿的衬衫都是褶 The shirt is wrinkled. 那可真是有点烦呐。
如果是“新熨好的衬衫”就是 a freshly ironed shirt。 
iron 还可以用 press 来代替，说 I pressed my blouse and skirt. 我熨了上衣和裙子。 press 的常用义项是“按，压”，还有“熨”。
“熨衣架”是 ironing board(table)。
