The narrated text of Revealing® Criminology, by Maureen Outlaw, Ph.D. Revealing® Criminology includes twelve modules (corresponding to textbook chapters) that cover the basics of modern Criminology. The first three modules discuss the definition and popular understanding (social construction) of crime, the measurement of crime, and key trends and patterns in crime in the United States. The fourth through seventh modules critique the major criminological theories, from the classical school and trait theories to social structure and social process theories and critical criminology. Each of the next four modules covers a major type of crime: violent crime, property crime, public order and organized crime, and white-collar and corporate crime. The final module examines the harm caused by different kinds of crime, as well as how society responds to crime. The text is written to make the material accessible without oversimplifying. Most sections of each module also include a “Make it Real” segment intended to bring the material into a specific context to deepen students’ understanding of the subject matter. The material presented in Revealing® Criminology is consistent with contemporary criminology and its reliance on criminal law. At the same time, it frequently reminds readers of how the definitions and understanding of crime are created and maintained within our stratified society and that issues of race, social class, gender, and age color them. This unique combination provides students with the basic information and tools they need to understand crime in American society, while encouraging them to challenge their own preconceived notions of crime. Feminarquia (tercera temporada)Subversión femenina&nbsp;en tu oído&nbsp;En el archivo está la imagen que me gustaría poner de logo&nbsp;&nbsp;Desde niña me gustaron las historias de las personas más&nbsp;que&nbsp;los cuentos.&nbsp;Se las escuchaba a mi mamá cuando&nbsp;algunas tardes, mientras&nbsp;planchaba sistemáticamente todo lo pensaba que se podía planchar, se ponía a contarme de ella desde que era una niña pequeña, aprendí&nbsp;que ese no era el tiempo de planchar, sino&nbsp;que era el tiempo que&nbsp;destinaba&nbsp;para contarme quién era ella.Era como si se dibujara delicadamente&nbsp;mientras yo la oía sentada en la alfombra con los ojos cerrados..&nbsp;&nbsp;Las oía todo el tiempo en las fiestas familiares,cuando&nbsp;me quedaba sentada escuchando a los adultos en la gran mesa de fiestas de mi abuela, tanto me concentraba que olvidaba jugar con mis primos. Escuchaba lo que contaban y veía lo que hacían. Feminarquia (tercera temporada) Subversión femenina en tu oído   En el archivo está la imagen que me gustaría poner de logo     Desde niña me gustaron las historias de las personas más que los cuentos.   Se las escuchaba a mi mamá cuando algunas tardes, mientras planchaba sistemáticamente todo lo pensaba que se podía planchar, se ponía a contarme de ella desde que era una niña pequeña, aprendí que ese no era el tiempo de planchar, sino que era el tiempo que destinaba para contarme quién era ella. Era como si se dibujara delicadamente mientras yo la oía sentada en la alfombra con los ojos cerrados..    Las oía todo el tiempo en las fiestas familiares,cuando me quedaba sentada escuchando a los adultos en la gran mesa de fiestas de mi abuela, tanto me concentraba que olvidaba jugar con mis primos. Escuchaba lo que contaban y veía lo que hacían. Me comía todos esos relatos hasta la indigestión.   Las escuchaba en el transporte público, en la escuela y en la calle nada más cerrar los ojos y afinar el oído   Eso fue fundamental para, a la larga (y con muchos tropiezos de por medio), escoger mi carrera (sociología) y la ideología con la que comulgo (feminismo)   Quería seguir conectada con las historias que como telaraña nos envuelven a todas y darle un sentido.   Este podcast surge de la necesidad de darle voz a las historias de las mujeres que a lo largo de mi vida he escuchado de manera personal y profesional. Ils ont été accompagnés par Antoine Tricot pour le volet sonore et par les sociologues Jérôme Berthaut et Benoît Coquard pour la partie scientifique.

De la petite fonction publique territoriale aux professions des soins à la personne, des métiers de la marge aux tâches partagées en famille par les agriculteurs, le travail revêt dans les campagnes des formes particulières.
