Niche of Science

Many immigrants living in the United States are victims of domestic violence and/or violent crime. These victims of DV or violent crime may have avenues to obtain legal status, but sadly, many are not aware of these options. Educating the public about the types of visas available and who is eligible for them is vital to ensuring that immigrant victims are able to protect the safety of themselves and their families. Additionally, spreading awareness can impact the general perceptions about DV and violent crime survivors. En el marco del cumplimiento a la medida de satisfacción otorgada al CNMH en el Plan Integral de Reparación Colectiva de Sudán y sus Veredas, la Estrategia de Reparaciones y el Comité de Impulso de este corregimiento de Tiquisio, Bolívar concertaron la realización de una serie radial y un libro fotográfico que ilustrara lo sucedido en el marco del conflicto armado en esta parte del país.“Radio Sudán” es una serie compuesta por cuatro programas, cada uno con una duración promedio de 30 minutos. El formato de programa radial en vivo narra los hechos más importantes sucedidos en la comunidad en el marco del conflicto armado interno, pero también la historia de poblamiento y expansión de la comunidad, su cultura y tradiciones.
