Welcome to a conversation about style for people who use extraverted feeling in their Myers-Briggs type. I’m just over half way through a series on all eight of the Jungian cognitive functions and how they impact visual identity. This is Episode 42 of the Signature Style Systems podcast!
Â
I give you a quick definition of Extraverted Feeling (Personality Hacker nickname: Harmony), tell you which Myers-Briggs types use it, and then share some style tips for supporting your visual identity.
Â
I'm Rebecca Mielke. As your Visual Identity Consultant, I take you on a journey of self-discovery, so you can align your inner and outer self, show up confidently, and contribute your gifts to the world.

Today’s topic is style for people using introverted thinking. Welcome to Episode 41 of the Signature Style Systems podcast, where I’m continuing a series on Myers-Briggs, cognitive functions, and how to use this system to create authentic style. (Prefer to read? Find this content on my blog: https://signaturestylesystems.com/introverted-thinking-style-cognitive-function-series/)
Â
I will explain the difference between introversion over all and using an introverted cognitive function, how introverted thinking can inform your signature style based on what position it occupies in your personality, and be sure to stay to the end for a ramble on a NEW connection I am making between Myers-Briggs, personal growth, and identity.Â
What does it mean if your thinking is introverted? You must be a smart introvert, right? Not exactly! Some large percentage of Introverted Thinking users are actually extraverts. And, of course, thinkers and feelers can both be smart.Â

I’m freshly back from a conference where I completed my profiler training with Personality Hacker.
In this episode, I explain how what I do with personality type is different from taking an online test. Then, I share my formula for building your signature style using your cognitive functions. And, finally, I share a brief description of the eight cognitive functions.Â

What are your goals when you’re putting together an outfit? How do you want it to make you feel?
Â
I confess that when I started my blog, The Space Between My Peers, almost 20 years ago (in late 2005), my reason was mostly because I, as an extravert, had alot of words. And, sadly, not alot of people to share them with.
Â
Realistically, none of this would ever have come about if I had known and understood my Myers-Briggs type and how to set up my life ergonomically for the needs of my personality. So in this episode I’m offering the lemonade I made from the lemons my life gave me: three human-centric style "rules" to help you feel like yourself no matter where you're going or what you're doing.
