Welcome to another great episode of the Sing Second podcast. We bring you the stories and happenings at the Naval Academy and the Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation.
We log our last Women's History Month pod with two great interviews and an awesome conversation about Shipmate Magazine, Orioles baseball, married alumni and the Central Intelligence Agency.
We have an amazing morning wine-tasting conversation with Jen Donahoe from the class of 1994. Jen graduated, became a SWO, married her classmate Jerry...and now they are the owner/operators of Mills Fine Wine and Spirits in downtown Annapolis. Jen talks about how the combat exemption for women in the Navy was lifted just as she graduated...and what the environment was like for women in the early 90's in Bancroft Hall. She also recommends an AWESOME Pinot Noir!!
We also chat with new Navy Women's Golf Coach, Kylee Sullivan. Kylee might be the youngest head coach in the history of Navy Athletics. We're checking...but no matter her age and experience, Coach Sullivan is taking an exciting young program and getting results. Kylee was thrust into a leadership position at a young age...just as the women she coaches will be expected to do. She talks about how she approaches preparing them for those challenges.
That and more on Sing Second...brought to you by ProMD Health in Annapolis, Scott Schuetter '00 and the Shrek Realty Crew, and StratasCorp Technologies.
