Zaryl Manentsa is an advocate practicing under Group One Advocates. She obtained her LLB from the University of KwaZulu Natal and thereafter commenced her articles at a top 5 law firm in Johannesburg. During her tenure as an attorney Zaryl’s practice areas included employment law and competition law. Zaryl answered the call to the bar in 2018 after realizing that she needed an environment where she could actively make an impact and a notable difference in people’s lives by being at the forefront of representing their legal issues. She currently focuses on the areas of labour law, administrative law and land claims. She has appeared in the High Court, Labour Court and Land Claims Court and has chaired a number of disciplinary hearings. Zaryl has co-authored a number of articles including: Do you Want a Lover Tonight: Sexual Harassment or Not? (August 2014- Published on
Werksmans' LegalWerks, The Times, Polity, Biz Community, HRFuture); and Judicial law-making: Unlocking the Creative Powers of Judges in s39(2)of the Constitution (Published in the Potchefstroom Electronic Journal: PER/PELJ 2016 (19)).
Zaryl is passionate about making a difference in the lives of underrepresented minorities.
When she is not actively practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and socializing.
