Weigh up prices for slaughter cows and bulls have been incredible lately at local sale barns.  In fact, many slaughter bull prices are equal to breeding bull prices in some instances.  Producers that have not semen checked their bulls may want to consider hauling the bulls to your local sale barn and replacing them with fresh young stock from your local seedstock producers!  

Salvage value is fantastic for these weigh up cows, but be advised, the replacement cost of the females into the herd is equally as high!
