Getting little sleep can be so exhausting for a new parent. Thankfully we have sleep specialists, like Cayla Solomon, who are here to help! Instead of using the ‘sleep training’ approach, Cayla looks at it all through a more holistic lens and helps to figure out the underlying issues that can present as sleep challenges.
In this episode, Cayla shares the three main reasons she will refer out to a body worker when parents come to her with sleep struggles. We also discuss working with the skeptical parents, as well as the positive changes that take place after several sessions of body work.
Cayla Solomon is a certified Sleep and Well-Being Specialist who has an in-depth knowledge of the science behind pediatric sleep. Using developmental psychology to guide her approach, she is skilled at helping families strengthen the familial relationship while educating parents on how to get the best sleep possible without sleep training. She also holds a certification in Breastfeeding Support and Education from Doula Canada and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western University. As a mother of three young children, she understands first-hand the challenges that sleep can often present for kids and their parents.
