Today I was joined by my good friend David Young. David grew up in Scotland. Born with a congenital deformity, he had his left leg amputated above the knee when he was seventeen.

He wrote television drama for the BBC and Channel 4 for nine years before writing and selling his first novel, Lockdown, at auction in London for £350,000, a then record amount for a debut novelist from Scotland.

In 2018 his tenth thriller, Second Chance, won the prestigious International Thriller Writers' award.

He took up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2017, became the first amputee in Ireland to be awarded a blue belt in 2019, and this year, after losing his previous twenty-six matches, became a European Champion in Paris. He's the first and so far only amputee to win a major IBJJF tournament competing against able-bodied athletes.

Today I was joined by my good friend Ronan O'Connor. Ronan is the founder of Sol Therapy. Ronan began psychotherapy training in 2014 after working in the youth sector supporting youth mental health and addiction needs. Today I was joined by my good pal John Joseph. John is a musician, coach, author and Ironman triathlete from New York City, most famous for his work as the lead singer of the Cro-Mags in the 1980s, '90s and 2000s.

He was raised in foster care and grew up on the streets of New York City, dodging a federal prison sentence in the late ’70s by enrolling into the Navy.

His book “The P.M.A Effect” delves deep into the power of a positive mental attitude. He has spent much time dedicated to the learnings of the Hare Krishna’s and Bhagavad Gita, which has massively shaped who he is today.

Today I was joined by my good friend Noelie Poynton. Noelie is a Sergeant in the Irish Defence Forces, having served in Ireland as well as peace keeping missions overseas. He is over 13 years sober having given up the booze when he was 21.

He also does a lot for the young people in the Sober communities around Ireland and abroad.

Noelie talks about his journey from Childhood struggles, to Alcoholism, to getting sober while in the army.

Today I was joined by my friend Doireann Barrett. Doireann is the founder of the award winning Gluten Free Kitchen Company and Cneasú (Irish word for healing).

Post diagnosis of Coeliac Disease in 2004 at the age of 25 & 12 months later with Stage 4 Endometriosis she began her journey to develop a service that could support people with similar health issues so in 2011 she set up The Gluten Free Kitchen Company which is now a multi award winning food and wellness brand offering many services in the Health & Wellbeing Sector.

Today I was joined by Maureen Duke, who is a member of Al-Anon and is also my mammy! We talk about how Alcoholism and Addiction can impact families.

Maureen who a member of Al-Anon, Al-Anon members are people, who are worried about someone with a drinking problem. These hold meetings all over the world & provide support to anyone who is been affected by another's drinking.

She tells her own story and how Al-Anon gave her support and to accept the people, places and things we're powerless over.

Michael Ryan is a Yoga, Wellness and Meditation Teacher as well as a wellness retreat facilitator. I was very fortunate to take part in one of Michael's retreats recently which had a profound impact on me.

He previously completed a 12 marathons in 12 days and 24 marathons in 24 days challenge for charity.
