Raised with three successful brothers, Billy felt like an outsider and turned to alcohol as a teenager. His drinking worsened during his time in the Navy and throughout various jobs, leaving him broke, isolated, and unable to control his drinking. He reflects on the chaos alcohol brought to his life, his failed relationships, and his struggles to connect with his daughter. After multiple attempts to quit, he finally embraced AA, where he found purpose through helping others. Staying active in the program transformed his life, and he now lives with gratitude and a desire to give back.
