Stories Fables Ghostly Tales

Today I bring you a double episode of murder from Old Time Radio goliath (physically as well) NERO WOLFE. Mates jammed packed today with remastered audio, and HIGH BIT RATE quality, just for you legends, and just for you. I hope you enjoy this back to back episode of detective work by the big lad that is Nero, and the endlessly patient rock that is Archie in "The Disappearing Diamonds", and "The Final Page".

LEGENDARY Hall of Famer, that is Mayah. A long time supporter, that has given so much to this podcast that I’ll find a way to forever include them in my thank you’s. Cheers you legend and thank you for your kind support over these years.

My brilliant Lezza Bowzooka! Blasting onto my Patreon, thanks to you Lezza I’ve been creating my own music – GASP – yes, I can do that, and now it’s possible thanks to your support. I’ve been using  audio loops of acoustic guitars, low-fi beats, and so much more, to create the mood for stories but also, for the whole show. I’m also working on a new intro, so we’ll see how that goes. All possible thanks to your lovely and amazingly epic self.

And the super star that is Paige Cramer, a guru of kindness and a sage of a person. Thank you for your support and with your donations, they’ve gone straight into some more plug-ins to sharpen my audio up. Predominantly, cutting out lower frequency sounds actually, so I sound ever clearer to everyone’s ears. You're a legend Paige!

"A man wishes for a Calf and is given a child. Instead of joy, he’s struck with the burden of looking after another life, in which he can barely look after his own. He denies the young boy, a gift from the gods so it seems, turned away...but the boy’s love for the man is strong, strong enough to put him on a quest, to be accepted. In being turned away, the boy becomes something…bigger, and better."

A feather is found in the middle of a barren landscape, plain as day, and obvious in the setting sun. It stays still for weeks, and a boy stumbles across it during his play period. His joy, his happiness, causes the feather to shift, to grow, to exist in the realm of reality. The land bends and the farm ground shudders, the Green Feather was the myth that called to life the city of Verdi, a town built on a land with unstoppable growth and happy inhabitants. The Land of Verdi!

Between two cities is an invisible divide. A line the covers 20 miles across the two, that splits whatever crosses into two, after the border is crossed. Cut in half, top to bottom, the invisible divide doesn’t discriminate. But one would think that this would be weaponised, or a danger to the community, but on the contrary – the divide is used, and controlled, as a means for fast construction, and advanced cutting of buildings, and housing. War was an option, but they built a union on the fundamentals of a divide.

The world fell into a darkness, whose pitch could not be penetrated by the brightest of flames. A depth within the shadows that coiled around light and snuffed it out, permanently. But a torch was made, crafted by the wisest of women, a tool of hope, and created to bring light when all thought there was none. The Torch of Everfire, a gift of the gods, shared to the thoughts of the woman from Frenfire, that forever changed their world.

Nero is found broke…yet again. Unable to pay Archie Goodwin…who, annoyed by Nero’s complete selfishness and extreme laziness…leaves an open window to infuriate his boss. Amidst their ridiculous argument though…a murder is brought to their door step…no blood…a letter opener as a weapon…and a foul murder.

Mate, thank you so much for your amazing support, I was able to purchase a massive 9gb pack of strings, guitar, and piano audio that I would NEVER be able to get my hands on usually. These are really high quality pieces of audio that I can use as audio stings, intro’s, crashes, and one-shots. I’ve also been able to score some Water Phone sounds that I’ll show you all know, which really set the mood for creepier tales – ones that I’ll use specifically for HP Lovecraft episodes as well.

And thank you so much you awesome person you! I’ve used your donations to grab hold of melodies and key audio crunches that I can run in the background to add atmosphere and mood to each episode. With over 20 gb’s of audio in that range, let me share with you a couple of audio loops that will shape the way our stories will feel, and sound, moving forward. Can't wait to share them with you all!

Thank you all for listening you loveliest of people.

Now, write your story, share your tale, make it creepy, or something silly about a snail, but remember that little tremor, that crawls up your spine, or the tingle that makes you smile, from a perfect plot line – that’s the magic of storytelling, like tea, it’s divine.

You took the time to listen to me, and you think, that it was your treat – but I thank you my friends, for the listen, and as always, till next, we meet. 💜💜💜

A Goat herder has three daughters, three daughters he simply does not deserve. Cruel, obnoxious, and feebleminded this man is, to beat and harass his daughters whenever a goat should stray from its herd. He cares for the goats more than he does his flesh and blood, and would sooner sacrifice his daughters over the herd that he leads. One day though, two daughters encounter a very unique being, one that offers them a way out…an offer….but they refuse…the third and youngest of the three…well…her life takes quite a different path.

Mates nothing but the best tales from 1922, just for your ears. I hope you enjoy this episode, especially so because I've brought some new music thanks to you lovelies! :P This episode, was a loooot of fun to record mates, and I hope you enjoy the tale of magic, witchery, and spirits!

Hurtling through the sky at blazing speed,

These rocks, from within the crust, flying free,

Of black dust, does it fly, jettisoned sky high,

Farther and farther does it soar, the more you look, the bigger its draw

Remember its launch site, and stand far, lest you be hit, but the obsidian star.

Clink go the stones between my fingers

Clink go the essence, of earths nature

Clink go the ripples of invisible space

Clink go the changes across our lands face

Clink are the sounds that remind us of change

Clink is the resonance that reminds us of essence

And click goes the waves, that shape earths coalescence.

A Prince has a stupid brother, so stupid that he can spend years observing a task and not learn how to do it. The Prince though, loves his brother, but most certainly knows his weakness and looks for other avenues to bring success to him. Along this path though our Prince is corrupted, by desire…desire of dark magic…magicks unknown to him that trap him…and put him on a path to near death…but also…adventure.

This particular small series is a lot of fun, and conjures up some amazing imagery from a culture I don't know much about. So it's a real eye open for me in this episode, and assuredly future tales :D hope you love it!

Three crystals made of pure magneum surround a small hut in the forest of Cleos. No-one has ever entered the house, and those that leave are unstoppable. Yes, unstoppable – they move with such purpose, and with such force, that trees bend and flex in their wake. They say a witch, and golem maker live there, creating crystalline beings to fetch their resources, tools, and all their desires. Not much more is known, but all those that do lay a hand on that small hut, also never return…whole. But some are seen walking…aimlessly around the hut, watchers it seems, for a secret abode.

Three Stones of Perriot are used by the sages of Inara, and are the only three stones in the lands to create exact duplicates of whatever item they touch – they are one for one identical, and are actually superior to their originals, in that all erroneous attributes are culled, and existing strengths enhanced. The Perriot stones, known for their legendary power, are one the universes enigma’s, appearing to the worthy for at given times, and providing them unlimited duplicate power.

Stones that crackle with power, earthen electricity, lode stones with the mythical propensity to crack mountains in twain, sunder rivers into valleys, and shatter castles to rubble. Snapper Draz stones glow purple under the moonlight and are incredulously volatile, when handling these stones of destruction be certain you do not breathe directly on them, or drop a single droplet of moisture on it’s surface…otherwise it will be the last thing you see….and the last thing anything else sees for miles.
