Tame Your Inner Critic: How to Overcome Perfectionism

Perfectionism may seem to be a good trait, but when you procrastinate on your plans because you want everything to be just right, this becomes a hindrance to achieving your goals. The real definition of a perfectionist is not someone whose life is perfect, it's someone who believes that it could be, wishes it were and suffers because it isn't.

A perfectionist sets very high expectations of themselves and others. They believe that a task is not finished when it does not meet their standards, or they never even begin a task unless they know they can do it perfectly. The standards that they set not only apply to how they work but it is also the same for how they evaluate other people’s performance. 

In this episode, I want to tell you how perfectionism can slow you down, and why we need to manage it. I AM a perfectionist and always have been, and I want to share with you how I deal with my perfectionism.
