The momentum can feel like it really starts to shift in step 6. Jackie and Jon discuss what "defects of character" means- and examine some of the ways those defects manifest in less-than-obvious ways.
In Step 5, "we admitted to God, ourselves, and another human being the exact nature of our wrongs." Jackie and Jon explore what "exact nature" means as well as discuss the benefits of step 5 as presented in various big books.
In this episode, Jon and Jackie discuss the 4th step and the "big inventory" and how to take it in chunks. The fourth step can be where everything changes.
What does it mean to 'become willing to surrender...?' Jon and Jackie dive into step 3- looking at willingness and surrender through the lens of the 12 steps.
Jackie and Jon continue their series examining the 12 steps through different fellowshps' literature. Step two describes all of the ways that "we came to believe" and the ins and outs of what exactly is the nature of what we came to believe.
Jon and Jackie take a look at Step 1- across 8 different 12 step fellowships. Every fellowship has a little bit of a different approach and understanding to working the steps- most people will be benefited by learning about powerlessness and unmanageability from a few different angles.
