As part of our more relaxed series, Adrian Bo has an authentic and raw conversation with his good mate Geoff Jowett. Both are working very closely with many high performing agents across the world; Geoff in the mindset space and Adrian in relation to Skills & Dialogue & team structure.
This is a 'content packed' session which is a must for all estate agents, principals or any business owner.
Some additional information on Geoff Jowett - From young entrepreneur, founder, creating weight loss health empires to alcoholic, bankrupt, depressed and broken. Few people have experienced the dizzying heights and rock bottom lows to the extreme Geoff Jowett has.
Geoff started his first business (Vision Personal Training) at the ripe old age of 23 and for many years everything he touched turned to gold. He exited Vision PT to create Bodytrim, one of Australia’s most successful and prominent weight loss companies, helping more than 1 million people trim down and generate $40M in annual revenue. At one point it appeared he had it all; money, fame, success, a global business travelling the world, living the dream
But Geoff’s fast success was also part of his rapid demise. As his bank balance and profile grew so too did his ego and entitlement. He began to see himself as “better” than those around him and started to live life by his own set of rules. With time so too came struggle, mistakes and the failure of his businesses, brands and fast living lifestyle. He says that the struggle and failure was his greatest gift and it gave him a chance to reset and begin to build a life of service, contribution, values, on a foundation of authenticity not media hype and self centeredness. Through this reset Geoff was able to discover a happiness he thought impossible to find and build a life that he loves each day.
Today he helps others build their business and grow their life through sharing the lessons and insights he discovered, to help them thrive and avoid the mistakes he made. Whilst he believes “the struggle is the gift” he also hopes that "he made the mistakes so others don't have to".
