Prior to joining Thrive Market, Jeremiah served for 7 years as the Executive Global Coordinator for the Beauty, Apparel & Wellness categories at Whole Foods Market. During his tenure, he pioneered multiple, industry changing, quality standard initiatives including natural beauty standards, organic labeling requirements for personal care, and the largest ever sustainable packaging guidelines for a major retailer. So what is Thrive Market? Think your natural food store meets Costco. It's an online marketplace for the conscience consumer with over 5000 products across all of the categories you need including beef, seafood, household and personal care products in addition to all of the pantry staples you need in your kitchen.

We are thrilled to welcome today's guest, Jina Seavall. Jina has been helping people feel more in tune with their true nature and vitality since 2002. Jina guides clients using hypnosis to experience and learn from their past lives so they can make the most of this life. Jina believes that we can use the body as an instrument to create clarity and gain insight and wisdom so we can live to our fullest potential. One of the ways we can do this is by connecting with our eternal soul's history through past lives to make more sense of who we are today. Find out more about her work and listen to her podcast, Past Lives & the Divine.

During our fascinating conversation we talk about how a person can use hypnosis and past life regressions to make their life better in the current moment. We dove into what it is like to get your brain into that relax state where you are going into the subconscious mind as that is where every memory is stored. We discussed spirit guides and the power of writing down your journey after the regression. She has spent the last 18 years empowering individuals, couples, parents and families to bring out their best selves by helping them realize meaningful, successful lives, with the aim of bringing new perspectives on personal transformation to as many people as possible.

Today, Dr. Lyons is on a mission to help women reclaim their lives through mothering and create a safe space where women can express their dreams, fears, and truths around motherhood. We are all mothers, and together we can support and empower one another to be the best versions of ourselves.

In this inspiring and uplifting conversation we dive into mothering and motherhood and the codes of mothering (you don't have to be a mother to lean into the maternal power of mothering). We also talk about judgement, making mistakes and developing your own standards of success while not comparing yourself to others. We love how Gertrude helps women reclaim their lives and we know you won't want to miss this conversation.

  • E73: Motivation and inspiration to nourish, move and love your body with Lindsey Bomgren

We are so excited to welcome today's guest Lindsey Bomgren, who is the fitness-loving content creator behind Nourish, Move, Love (NML). NML is a health and fitness lifestyle site devoted to helping women create a lifestyle and body they love through — quick and effective workouts, simple and delicious recipes and faith based devotionals.

Lindsey started NML in 2015 as a 'blog' to create and sell 20 minute home workout videos and she has been working tirelessly to deliver the perfect classes to fit the busy mom's schedule ever since. Lindsey doesn't film workout videos to give you six pack abs or a nice butt. She films workout videos because she knows fitness makes her a better wife, mother, friend and human…and she wants to share that with you too.

Lindsey is an amazing group fitness instructor, cheering you on and motivating you to keep going and pushing yourself and she offers many options and modifications during the workout. You literally feel like you're in a studio with her during class. Her workouts are geared to everyone, from the beginner to the advanced skill level individual. Her library of exercise classes include: HIIT, body weight, barre, yoga, kettlebell, dumbbell and so much more. We love how Lindsey focuses on strength classes, which is so important for women as they age to protect their bone health.

Lindsey has numerous certifications and trainings including: Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, NASM Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist, PROnatal Fitness Pre/Postnatal Training Specialist, Prenatal Yoga Certified, Barre Certified and is a Lifetime Academy Graduate.

Lindsey's motto is: Pray often. Move your body. Eat your veggies. Love others and yourself. She's your personal trainer at home and if you aren't already a fan of her online workouts, you will be after today's episode.

We are thrilled to welcome today's guest, Pilar Gerasimo.

Pilar Gerasimo is an award-winning health journalist, pioneering social explorer, and author of a new book, The Healthy Deviant: A Rule-Breaker's Guide to Being Healthy in an Unhealthy World (North Atlantic Books, 2020).

Best known for her work as the founding editor of Experience Life magazine, which today reaches more than three million people with each issue, Pilar has also served as Chief Creative Officer for the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and as top health editor for The Huffington Post.

  • E71: A profound conversation about reforming generational poverty and racial injustice with President & CEO of Jeremiah Program Chastity Lord

We are thrilled to welcome today's guest, Chastity Lord. Chastity has spent two decades dedicated to dismantling systems of inequity for marginalized communities. She deeply believes that generational poverty is a social justice issue and that families are the best owners and narrators of their lives. History has proven time and again that building infrastructure, leadership, and power for marginalized communities creates a contagion of long-term change.

Chastity's professional North Star and commitment to equity and justice for the past two decades is influenced by her own personal experience as a first-generation college graduate. Chastity understands that education is not the panacea for inequity but unapologetically credits it to transforming how she dreams and disrupting the cycle of poverty for her own family.

Chastity has a robust resume working for several organizations including Color of Change, Achievement First and The Posse Foundation before recently landing at Jeremiah Program. She has a BA in organizational communication from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA in strategy and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is a 2012 Pahara-Aspen Fellow with the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

Chastity shares her very profound ideas as we move the conversation around generational poverty from an economic issue to a social justice one. She also talks about how being effective is more important than being right and shares her inspiring stories from her leadership roles that will you won't want to miss.

You'll learn about the mission of Jeremiah Program ("JP"), a national nonprofit based in Minneapolis whose mission is helping single moms find success in the workplace and on the home front. JP uses a two-generational model committed to disrupting generational poverty by supporting single moms and their children two generations at time.
