Welcome back! Another Foundational Topic to consider while optimizing your day-to-day!!

Today we’re talking about possibly YOUR favorite topic, but not for my kids, and that’s SLEEP!! :)

Now we’ve discussed this before on the flagship episodes, but now we’re looking to hone-in on this topic while focusing on age as well. 

Why this topic? 

Soooo as we always will ask….WHHHYYYY is this topic important to talk about?!??

First! As we will discuss more, sleep can dictate EVERYTHING regarding your day-to-day!

If you sleep well, you feel refreshed, energized, ready to take on the day from the start! 

Without sleep, you’re groggy, irritated, NOT sharp, NOT motivated, you often will have the feeling of defeat, etc…it’s not a good feeling!!

…and this generally doesn’t get EASIER as you age! 

In this "Fittest at 40 Series" episode, we discuss a critical yet often overlooked aspect of wellness: Restorative Sleep. This episode emphasizes the increasing importance of quality sleep as one ages, exploring how it impacts everything from cognitive function and emotional well-being to overall health maintenance.

Why are we talking about fear?

It affects so many of us!!! Depending on how you handle your fear, it can help or hurt you. 

Fear, in appropriate circumstances, is a natural and protective response. 

However, when fear responses are disproportionate to the danger, persistent, or interfere with daily life, they can become problematic, often manifesting as anxiety disorders, phobias, or PTSD.

….IT’S ALSO HALLOWEEN!!

Discussing fear is important for several reasons:

1. Mental Health: Understanding fear helps in addressing various mental health issues. -Recognizing when fear becomes paralyzing or chronic can be the first step toward seeking help and finding coping strategies.

FlowerPower: Fittest at 40!!

Welcome to the new spin-off inaugural episode!!

Goal! This show will be a bit different than the regular show…this will about a journey!

Why am I doing this? What’s my goal?

My goal is to be as fit as I’ve ever been in my life by the age of 40 years old, with the support of cannabis.

Measurable-s? My actions and routines…along with general strength measurables (endurance timing, strength gains, weights/bmi changes, etc).

Why?

First and foremost, to prove to myself I can do this.

I want to leave something for my kids…documentation of more positive influence I’ve left in the world…energy, and good vibes that I’m tossing out there.

There is no action that is too small…they all count!

I Progressively have been fitter every 10 years…and I want to see how long I can keep that up.

-I’m curious! :)

I also believe that if as a society we take time to focus on holistic health, we will thrive as a community and that positive energy has a ripple effect.

There’s buzz that “40 is the new 30,” and i want people to believe that they can be their best again mentally, emotionally, physically, etc.

I want to show my kids by example that this is possible, and for them to follow suit.

How?

-This will be a documentation of my journey.

The main show will remain as is; but this show will include a lot of solo time along with interviews with others.

-I also plan to document more on the website and IG, blogging, so be on the lookout for those.
