Walter is a Minnesota state rep, which means he's seen it all. Most of what he's seen has been dysfunctional to some extent. But you know what's a well-oiled machine? The cardinals over in Rome. We've already got a new pope, although as of writing this we don't know who yet. I bet you can guess what tomorrow's topic will be.

There's going to be a new pope today, maybe. As I write this, the election has begun. But that's not the biggest thing happening today. That would be the return of Don Shelby. Hear what he's been up to, what his thoughts are on the metamorphosis of journalism over the ages, and perhaps even a vaunted GFY.

Apparently even nicer parts of town aren't immune to mentally ill and/or drug addicted people causing problems. But that's not the only kind of thing you're about to see a lot more of. The Minnesota supreme court has decreed that women can go topless wherever they want, which means you'll see about two weeks of women going overboard with it before they all get bored and wear shirts again.

Foreign films are going to get some major tariffs soon, potentially. What does that mean for Mulan and Lord of the Rings? Only time will tell. Not that it matters, because if you're of a certain age you can't last a whole movie without going to the bathroom anyway. Best to stick to formats you can pause.

It's been quite some time since Minnesota has had a non-Democrat in its highest office. It's also been quite some time since Minnesota was on an upward trajectory. Coincidence? Perhaps. The party isn't the problem - the politicians are. Vote out the old and let's try something new for a change.

Fresh off our conversation with AJ about Minnesota sports, it's time for Tom and Mike Bryant's take on how things are going. As always, there's too much optimism. Which is to say, any at all. Then Bill drops by to reminisce about that one time Tom was going to retire but didn't. And by "that one time" I mean "one of many times".

Tom and Kathryn are flying cross country, which leaves the task of running the show to Alex and Andy. But we had help. Kristyn has proof that the 90s were peak cinema, and AJ's back with the sports update, and also the his own life update.

When you hear that a storm's coming, what do you feel? Dread? Excitement? Some third thing? Believe it or not, there are those who were disappointed that we didn't get the storm of the century that we were promised yesterday. As long as our power doesn't go out, we don't really care what happens. Can't do a show without electricity.

You probably know by now that Bill Belichick has a girlfriend who is, shall we say, a bit younger than him. But how young is too young? Is a ten year gap a big deal? How about nine years and ten months? That last one is important.

Did you know you can get a home for under 30k? It's true. You just have to live miles and miles from anything in a town with a double digit population. If that sounds like your thing, go and live frugally. If not, maybe you'd like to meet Bill, Kristyn's husband. He doesn't live in a small town either, so you've already got lots in common.
