The ridiculous q-anon conspiracy theory that claims a network of tunnels is used to house tortured children who are used to harvest adrenochrome for the elites. Obviously only democrats do this because something something satan. It's as dumb as it sounds but they really make an elaborate universe out of it and generally just copy and paste it to other locations around the world. It's pretty funny. Very silly. Worth the click.

In the news we follow up on the Christian Porter 'situation' and look at Trump's CPAC appearance that triggered antivaxxers. Also the ridiculous nonsense around Dr. Seuss books being pulled and the absolute nothingburger that was March 4th!

This week we look at bloody annoying phone scams! We all get them - calls from a random number with some bullshit robot threatening you with arrest or some wretched fool on the other side trying to convince you that your internet is stuffed and needs to be fixed (for a fee, of course).

After looking at the declining crime rate, this is one on the rise. And it could be fixed with decent policing, but it's not.

This week, though, a fair whack of the episode is on the news. We look at the rape allegations against a cabinet minister and discuss what this means going forward. We check in on how Mike Lindell is going, as his dream of a dominion subpoena has come true. Also, Craig Kelly resigns from the Liberal party and the Trumpers are caught up chatting about their plans to blow up Capitol Hill during the state of the union. So non violent of them!

The betfair Trump punters bit stops being fun. It's probably the last one, unless something very funny happens. I'll keep an eye on it.

Heads up - Joel's audio is a bit average this week. It's not too bad, but not the usual quality. Jack, as per usual, sounds amazing.

This week we cover multi level marketing! It's often less of a business opportunity and more of a slow and difficult way to lose a ton of money. And friends. And family. Giant firms with dubious claims of riches and a life of passive income convince vulnerable people to hand over their hard earned money to live a dream that simply does not exist. The guys at the top make off with all the money and the guys at the bottom often face financial ruin. It's a sadness machine that needs a kick up the arse and we are here to deliver said boot.

In the news we look at the dominion lawsuits and Trump who says he is going to spend the rest of his life being sued. Good. We also look at the facebook news ban and the millions march against mandatory covid vaccination which did not have millions of people and mandatory vaccination isn't really a thing. Cool!

Eric gets a job and Pete Evans is booted off instagram, finally, and delivers a shockingly bad first campaign speech. Huge week.

What's the go? Jack gives some good insights into this and I speculate on nonsense.

This week our deep dive is on medical misinformation.

Some of you may not be aware of this, but Jack has had a pretty steep battle with cancer over the past few years and through some pretty advanced medical procedures he is still with us. If he listened to wellness grifters on facebook, however, he would likely (definitely) be dead.

We like Jack and want to keep him so this works for us. But this also makes me fucking angry. Cancer grifters are the worst. Covid grifters aren't too far behind, but there's something especially visceral about someone that sells miracle snake oil to people in a moment of mortal vulnerability. We discuss Jack's experience with his cancer, his neobladder (it's crazy shit) and how cancer and wellness grifters are generally the scum of the earth.

In the news we look at the absolute torrent of voting system lawsuits that are pending which are going to seriously rock the bank accounts of a few right wing nutjobs. Eric is impeached, but finds his way home thanks to his keen nose and we have a look at Pete's pretty shit Craig Kelly interview. Betfair have not given up hope, in fact they are more buoyant than ever. Which is insane because they are NEVER going to see that money.

The storm that never came! The mass arrest event that has been promised for years now was meant to come on January 20th. The thing is though, it didn't. And really it was never going to. So we have a look at the utterly pathetic idea that the military was going to somehow subvert democracy entirely and install DJT as the president while televising the execution of the democrats, Tom Hanks and Lady Gaga.

The news is big this week. We have a very special Australia Day honour for a brave cop that defied the catholic church and we have a look at the insane Gamestop/RobinHood/WallStreetBets saga that led to the end of short selling as we know it.

Eric tries to go home and realises that there's no forwarding address leaving him in a state of utter destitution and Pete Evans has his biggest week on record. A good episode if I do say so myself. Enjoy!

Last week was a bit of a slog. We both spent the entire week doomscrolling twitter and taking notes to make sure we were across the rather casual and amazingly short lived attempted coup in the United States.

So this week, we took on some low hanging fruit for a more relaxed week in podcasting. So, here's our take on flat Earthers! Joel listened to a bunch of terrible podcasts as research and just typed inflammatory things into duckduckgo for this episode and Jack attempted (and failed) to watch Beyond the Curve and resigned to looking at terrible flat earth pages on the lesser parts of the internet.

It goes alright and you should get a giggle from it.

In other parts of the pod, Eric has had better days but at least it's not as depressing as his non-birthday and Pete has a HUGE week and we barely even covered the half of it. Just huge. And now I am going to bed.

What a genuinely bizarre start to the year. We were going to cover flat earthers - they are hilarious and apparently full of nazis - but January 6 really kicked off.

In the news, Melissa Carone is back and Dominion are taking scalps. The vaccine sabotaging pharmacist turns out to be saving us from turning into reptiles and the Trump punters group are STILL betting on Trump winning the election. When will they end? I give them about a month.

Eric's dad stages a coup to avoid celebrating his birthday and Pete Evans STILL hasn't been banned from instagram.

It's a good one. I hope y'all learn something pointless and have a few laughs along the way.

While everyone seems to be celebrating the end of 2020, I hope they aren't celebrating the start of 2021. There's a bloody lot that could go wrong in the next twelve months and just because there's been a few jabs happening over in the states, we are not ready to pop the cork on the champers just yet.

The vaccine. Or vaccines. This is what is going to dictate how 2021 goes. Will we get enough people to take them? Are they even going to work? Are antivaxxers going to manage to sabotage this and ruin it for everyone? There's a lot up in the air and we take our entirely unqualified opinions to the airwaves to add our two cents.
