The Cowsills Podcast

We had such a great visit with Michael V. Pomarico. Michael is a TV Director who was the technical and full-time director for "All My Children" for 27 years amongst other accomplishments - one of the best "soaps" ever! What a great conversation we had as we learned all about directing, technical directing and learned how Michael came to be the winner of 6 (was it 7??) Emmys out of 14 or so nominations. Wow!!! Hey also we've been "cancelled". The "woke" came "a-wokin". Yep it happened. You can hear a little about it in this episode as we describe taking the hit and dealing with the world we live in.

Hello everyone!!! Why do we love when the holidays leave? I think we love that as much as when they arrive! Everyone is back and we will start having new guests for the new year soon. In the meantime we have a blast in this episode just getting caught up and talking about nutty things and having some fun. Mr. Pufferfish returns with some fun stuff and we gripe away. Enjoy and get caught up on everything at the same time!

WE'RE BACK!!! Honestly folks between Branson and then Wautoma then Natick and Sellersville then Christmas now New Years it's been difficult to keep the episodes rolling as you know but that is all behind us now. So sit back and let's get caught up and we'll start new guests rolling soon and we have a lot to share about a lot of stuff. Here's to a great 2023 and Happy New Year to all and to all a goodnight.

One more prior episode with the Bacon Brothers folks. We just returned from the road (Branson and then Wautoma, Wisconsin ....so fun!!). Friday we take off for our shows in Natik, Mass and Sellersville, PA. New episodes will gear up next week so in the meantime enjoy this episode with Kevin Bacon and his talented brother Michael. The Bacon Brothers have been a touring active rock 'n roll band for 20 years and they are great. Check out their YouTubes and you will hear fantastic songs and you can find out about Kevin's "other gift" as a great singer....enjoy!

Hello everyone we are still not all back from the east coast shows .... too many flight cancellations!!! So one more "re-run for fun" episode from the early days of the podcast. Here is Peter Noone of "Herman's Hermits" and he is a hoot!!! We love visiting with these icons and hearing their incredible stories and if it's one thing we've learned from these podcasts it's that everyone has an incredible story. Enjoy .... and next week we will start up again and have our very last 2022 episode. Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Greetings from Branson folks. We have had technical difficulties broadcasting from Branson as some of you are aware. We have had a fantastic 6-weeks of Christmas and shows every night with the Lettermen, Nadia Cole and Rick and Tara Thomas, our leaders....more about that later. We close this Friday so next week we will resume normal podcast operations with our weekly episodes. In the meantime, for this week enjoy a video visit from one of our earlier episodes with John Hall from Orleans. You may have missed it first time round or might want to watch John's video version of the episode....either way thanks for staying with us and see you next week!!!

Hello everybody this is a short episode from backstage at the Andy Williams Moon River Theater in Branson.... It's just before the show and during it so we thought we'd bring you in there with us. We know we've had some long episodes in the past so we hope you enjoy this short dressing room visit with us. Hey enjoy the production number of Jingle Bells....crazy fun being had!!!!

HELLO FROM BRANSON!!! Okay folks it's under way. Our Christmas show in Branson at the Andy Williams Moon River Theater opened Nov 1st and we've done 5 shows and we are loving it! We've included a performance of "Hair" from the show in this episode to give you an idea of things. We're broadcasting from Branson for the next 6 weeks. We'll try and bring you in on how all of this is done...this variety type musical theater kind of singing while you're in motion kind of thing. What a challenge!!! Hey even a couple of the Lettermen popped their heads in and said hi so you never know what's gonna happen here in Branson. We will keep you posted!"

Well folks it's just me and Paul tonight running the show while Susan is off becoming a Grandmother!!! We visit with the boys from Venice. A great band through the decades consisting of Kip Lennon (Kathy's of the Lennon Sisters brother!!) and his cousins brothers Michael and Mark Lennon. A true family affair was had and we had a blast of a visit. What a story of course because everyone has one and Venice is no different. 21 albums or more, known worldwide entering their 6th decade as entertainers and recording artists. You'll hear how we come upon the idea of putting together a concert featuring Venice, The Cowsills and The Bacon Brothers....a true family event. We will keep everyone posted on that!

The Lennon sisters were on over 400 TV and magazine covers, appeared on over 1,000 TV shows, had 21 albums, sang for seven U.S. Presidents, spent 13 years on The Lawrence Welk Show (which we watched every Saturday night as kids listening to them harmonize), 10 years with Andy Williams in and out of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and 23 years in Branson Missouri at The Andy Williams Moon River Theater, plus everything in between. We get to ask Kathy a lot about Branson where everyone knows we're headed. We hope you enjoy our visit with Kathy Lennon.
