Today, Dom Giordano led off the Dom Giordano Program by updating the situation on crime in and around Philadelphia, revealing that he’s learned there may be a big decision from New York Mayor-Elect Eric Adams concerning his choice for Police Chief, which has implications on Philadelphia since current Commissioner Danielle Outlaw is allegedly one of the finalists for the position. Then, Giordano gives an update on the heightened crime itself, discussing an incident yesterday where a 6-year-old child was kidnapped in a carjacking. The child was safely recovered, but in the reporting, it came out that the parent had left the car running while running into a pizza shop, which led to the crime. Dom argues with Dan whether there is ever an appropriate time to leave a child alone in a car, explaining that he does support leaving kids behind if it’s under 5 minutes and the doors are locked. Callers chime in, offering their opinion on the debate, and Dom asks where the line should be drawn. Then, Williams offers up his own causalities that have led to the current situation, discussing a deep lack of accountability borne in a lack of prosecutions and radically progressive policies. Giordano explains his issues with the article, noting how reckless it is, and asks listeners for locations throughout the city that the same ilk would not allow such a site. In today’s third hour, Giordano invites Bradley Lanning onto the show, to discuss why he’s chosen to primary Representative Brian Fitzpatrick in the first district in the upcoming election. First, Lanning explains the concept and the mission of the America First Party, which has thrown their support behind Lanning. Lanning explains that America First is very self-explanatory, noting that the primary goal is to prioritize the needs of Americans. Giordano asks whether or not this is drawn from stances by the Trump administration, which Lanning affirms, further explaining which policies he’d hope to push for while in office. Lanning also tells why he’s running against Fitzpatrick, telling that for far too long, Fitzpatrick, in order to frame himself as a moderate, has voted against conservative causes. Then, Giordano asks about individual issues, gathering Lanning’s thoughts on the large infrastructure bill that Fitzpatrick voted for, arguing that while bipartisan is useful, his vote did not make much sense. Giordano then discusses developments centered on Dr. Damsker and Bucks County, telling of an investigation by the Bucks County Courier Times that exposes emails sent by the state toward Bucks County dictating which mandates to enforce. In today’s final hour, Dom Giordano announces his 2021 Local Person of the Year after a week-long event in which he asked for listeners to both nominate and vote on who they believe deserve the title. After tabulating the votes, it was determined that Dr. David Damsker would be awarded the Local Person of the Year, but regrettably due to politics, Dr. Damsker was unable to join the Dom Giordano Program to accept the award. Giordano plays back clips of Dr. Damsker, further explaining reasons behind the nomination and award, and tells how notable the other nominees were, reflecting upon the years of Edward Durr, Steve Keeley, and Clarice Schillinger. In today’s second hour, Dom Giordano leads off by continuing the conversation from last hour, asking listeners whether or not they believe parents should be charged for the actions of their children after charges were announced for the parents of the perpetrator in a school shooting in Michigan. Callers offer their opinion, including parents who teach firearm safety to their children, and debate with Dom whether parents are at fault for a situation such as the one we saw unfold.

Then, Dr. Nicole Saphier of Fox News, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program. First, Dom asks her about her successful book, Panic Attack: Playing Politics with Science in the Fight Against COVID-19, bringing in current events, asking the Doctor how she would deal with Omicron if she were in Dr. Fauci’s role. Dr. Saphier tells of her strategy, stressing the importance in transparency and science when announcing and determining solutions for public safety. Then, Giordano and Dr. Saphier get into a conversation discussing whether children should get the vaccination, to which Dr. Saphier offers both the pros and cons of vaccinating children.

Then, New Jersey Representative Erik Peterson rejoins the Dom Giordano Program, to discuss his headline-making move yesterday in Trenton. Yesterday, Peterson and other New Jersey Republicans, made a stand against a Democratic policy that requires all in assembly to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test. Republicans in Trenton marched past New Jersey State Troopers who were checking vaccination status, taking their seats on the floor.
