The council voted not to and then the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario got involved leading to a $15k fine and the Mayor has to undergo "Human Rights Training".

After Trudeau's meeting with Trump on Friday night, it was leaked that Trump joked to Trudeau that if Canada can't survive without ripping America off by $100B a year then Canada should become the US' 51st state and he could be the governor of it.
