The Fighter & The Kid

On this episode of The Fighter and The Kid, Brendan Schaub and Bryan Callen break down the news that Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua is actually happening — and why this fight is way more dangerous than people think.

Brendan explains why Anthony Joshua is on a completely different level as a boxer, why the size and power difference matters, and why this matchup shouldn’t even be close. He also talks about why a loss wouldn’t hurt Jake Paul’s brand at all, but why a win would completely flip the boxing world upside down.

They get into why Jake Paul’s past opponents don’t compare, what real heavyweight power looks like, how this fight even came together, and why this is the moment the Jake Paul experiment gets truly tested.

The rest of the episode moves through road stories, hunting talk, sports, and the usual TFATK chaos. Get this episode and all future episodes AD FREE + 2 extended episodes, Fan Questions, exclusive behind the scenes content and more each month at https://www.patreon.com/tfatk

Nick Simmons returns to The Fighter and The Kid for an episode that immediately goes off the rails. The guys bounce between insane documentary talk, the Helen Keller debate, wild historical conspiracies, Bryan losing his grip on reality, and commentary on some of the strangest true stories ever recorded.

Nick reacts in real time as Brendan and Bryan spiral into:

• The shocking new doc everyone is talking about

• Historical figures with unbelievable mythology

• The Helen Keller argument that breaks the room

• Conspiracy rabbit holes from JFK files to intelligence agencies

• Bryan’s deteriorating confidence mid-episode

• Absurd hypotheticals that derail every conversation

Every five minutes the show explodes into a new tangent — political confusion, celebrity scandals, bizarre news stories, coffin-waking nightmares, mustache dictators, and existential panic.

This is TFATK in its purest form: chaotic, hilarious, and completely out of control. Get this episode and all future episodes AD FREE + 2 extended episodes, Fan Questions, exclusive behind the scenes content and more each month at https://www.patreon.com/tfatk

Brendan Schaub and Bryan Callen are joined by Danny Martinello, the Edmonton comic who went viral on Kill Tony after winning the MSG joke-off. Danny breaks down the pressure, the crowd, the adrenaline, and the moment he realized he had to win.

Brendan recaps his insane Texas hunting trip — from almost shooting a $14,000 trophy buck, learning the difference between whitetail and axis deer, night-vision hog hunting, and getting schooled by Marines on how tags and ranch rules work. The guys compare venison, Wagyu, backstrap cuts, and why hunters hit or miss the “gland” that ruins the meat.

Danny shares insane Alberta stories: oil field life at –36°F, dangerous CO₂ leaks, refinery evacuations, and blue-collar comedy shows in smoke pits underground. Then the show turns into wild biker tales, including run-ins with gangs, Hells Angels, and some of the funniest (and craziest) stories Bryan has ever told on the podcast.

This episode goes from hunting… to drugs… to dogs… to biker gangs… to space… to testosterone levels… all in classic TFATK chaos.

On this episode of The Fighter and The Kid, Brendan Schaub and Bryan Callen sit down with comedian Kurt Metzger for one of the most unhinged, hilarious, and unexpectedly deep conversations in show history.

From wild conspiracy theories, to Kundalini symbolism, to “wizard schools” in Austin, the crew dives into everything from secret levels above the President to whether magic, evil, and power structures are actually connected.

Kurt breaks down books like Tragedy and Hope, cosmic-level clearance, and why some people believe the world is run by forces way beyond what we see publicly. The guys also riff on:

• The ‘33 spine/Jesus’ symbolism
• Why some elites believe in magic & rituals
• Blood sacrifice & historical wars
• Underground bases & hidden rooms
• Who REALLY runs the world
• Levels of power above the U.S. President
• Austin “wizard schools”
• The psychology of pure evil
• Kurt’s viral rap bit & comedy breakdowns
•

All mixed with nonstop jokes, roast battles, and classic TFATK chaos.

In this episode of The Fighter and the Kid, Brendan and Bryan sit down with comedian and wrestler Nick Simmons, who joins right as the guys finally address the years of Reddit hate, online criticism, and the wild narratives fans have created about the show.

They dive into the hilarious but eye-opening ways women underestimate real strength, why self-defense fantasies don’t match physics, and how pepper spray, bear spray, and knives work in real-world scenarios.

Nick shares his insane PCP pandemic home-intruder story — including the break-ins, the stairwell fight, the loose slice of pizza, and the moment the cops let the guy go… right before he bit one officer’s nose and an EMT’s Achilles tendon.

They compare this to the Anthony Smith intruder fight, breaking down why meth and PCP shut off the “governor” in the brain and create freak-level strength.

From there, the guys get into Mongolian and Polynesian genetics, strength competitions, football concussions, stingers, and the brutal gap between normal athletes and genetic freaks.

Nick also opens up about moving from NYC to Austin, meeting his girlfriend’s intimidating dad, being a regular at iconic NYC clubs, and the new comedic grind of trying to get passed at The Comedy Mothership.

The guys finish by roasting each other’s outfits, shoes, and the chaos of performing comedy while your friends try to mess with your head backstage.

A funny, honest, chaotic episode with one of the best young comics in Austin.
