Another day of positive grain prices. Crop ratings of Monday were a wake up call…can’t bank on the fundamentals on how low we have come. Crop ratings are still above average but there is still vulnerable. Trade war continues to weigh in on the markets. Sea of China of holding up trade deal? Canada & its trade effects. Increased trade in the cattle.

Green on the screen for corn today. 6 cents off of last weeks close so far in corn. Maybe a summer correction heading our way? Crop ratings from the USDA significant for trade. A bit weaker then anticipated. Rains in Nebraska but not else ware…pollination time underway. Be ready to take advantage of the grain moves…move that old crop. Technical look at cattle live up a bit but feeders down.

Lower corn & soybeans while wheat trades higher. Are beans going to bounce with a low put in during August. Following the pattern of 1978 for both corn & beans. Good cash market last week…running a discount to the August futures. Still seeing struggles in the hogs-pork is cheap

Soybeans dropped. New contract lows for corn & beans. Crude oil down. Damage being done to commodity indices charts as well. We are pushing prices lower then justified. Bearish -painful for producers but down prices increase demand for a product. Pork more vulnerable to trade with Mexico then corn or beans

Not a good day for the markets. Soybeans tried to come back but still finished lower with the July 6th looming on the calendar. Holiday in the mid-week. Wheat took a hit on the trade today local & global weather are part of the factors. Cattle continues to move higher. Sharp losses in the hog complex. Tariffs is the biggest factor all the way across the board with uncertainties in stocks, grains, livestock.
