  • Ep 25 -Hope for Humanity from Minneapolis - w/ musician and author, Marcus Royce

We have a very special episode this week. Our friend, musician and author, Marcus Royce took some time to join us from his home city in Minneapolis to share his experiences there over the last few weeks as ICE has invaded their city.

Are you wondering what you can do in this polarized climate to make a difference?

We think you’ll be moved and inspired by this hope-filled episode.

    -----

    About Marcus:

Marcus Royce  has forged a path as a thriving independent artist for more than a decade, managing all aspects of touring, promotion, merchandising, and production. And performing—using his authenticity and talent over hundreds of performances from supporting large touring acts, to solo shows in schools, prisons, bars, places of worship, and businesses. He’s garnered worldwide fans in places like Japan, South Africa, Egypt, Brazil, Australia, and the United Kingdom. He gained extensive media experience on both sides of the camera and microphone, even racking up an impressive acting resume, including the internationally televised show “Nashville” and a handful of independent films.

His tour-de-force Beloved project encapsulates Mark’s heart and artistry—a stunning collection of love songs (half covers and half originals)—mature, adult-contemporary pop, like Michael Bublé or Billy Joel. Fans say Royce’s songs like “Something Good” or “Just Any Day” hit at the heart level, offering hope and encouragement to keep going through difficult days. Other original songs like the anthemic “Time For Hope” or “Pilgrim Man” cry out to be performed on large stages with orchestras and choirs, creating inspirational narratives that stir audiences’ hearts and bring them to their feet. A big part of Royce’s year has always been a Christmas tour, crafting three holiday-specific albums along the way. His “Mary, Did You Know” was the most downloaded holiday song on Amazon for three years.

  • Ep 24 - A fresh start with exercise - w/guest Annie Mosher

Do you have a love/hate relationship with exercise? (Or maybe even a hate/hate relationship?) Then this episode is for you! Our guest this week is Annie Mosher. She's a personal trainer and holistic healer that will help you think differently about how to take care of your body. Get ready to be inspired!

    OUR GUEST:

Annie Mosher is a trauma-informed bodywork specialist and Drug and Alcohol Counselor in Supervision in the state of Tennessee. She brings a deeply integrative, compassionate approach to addiction recovery, grounded in the belief that healing occurs when the body, mind, and spirit are all welcomed into the process.

Annie began her work in substance use disorder recovery years ago as a trauma-informed personal trainer and bodywork specialist through the American Council on Exercise. As her practice evolved, she became a behavior change specialist, supporting clients in exploring the root causes of their patterns, pain, and desires in order to create meaningful and lasting change. For the past seven years, Annie has worked within recovery residences, offering individual and group fitness, experiential healing, and somatic support. Her work weaves together reiki, breath and body awareness, goal setting, and strength and flexibility work to help clients reconnect with safety, agency, and vitality in their bodies.

Compassion is at the heart of Annie’s practice. She approaches each client as a whole and limitless being—unique, resilient, and worthy of care. Attending to the individual needs of each client’s body and spirit is foundational to her work, both in addiction recovery and in life beyond it.

  • Episode 17 - A Fresh Look at Scripture w/ Pastor Josh Scott

Are you struggling with seeing so many people embrace Christian Nationalism? What does the Bible say about how to move and act as Christians in today's society? Should politics be preached from the pulpit? Today we dig deep with Pastor Josh Scott about all that and more! Join us!

    ABOUT OUR GUEST:
Josh Scott is the Lead Pastor of GracePointe Church in Nashville and the author of Parables: Putting Jesus’s Stories in Their Place. His work helps people reimagine faith through a progressive Christian lens—bringing historical context and practical compassion to the Bible. He’s also written Bible Stories for Grown-Ups, Cross-Examined  and Context: Putting Scripture in it’s place.

Parables presents a core idea that Jesus’ parables aren’t simple morality tales; they are disruptive, context-rooted stories about the kingdom of God that challenge assumptions about power, justice, and community.

    ----

    Our Enneagram prompts today:

    1. Thinking (Intellectual Exploration)
Jesus’ parables invite us to look at the world with fresh eyes. The wineskin story challenges our capacity for change, our resilience, and our growing self-awareness.
Ask: “What old frameworks or assumptions can no longer contain our new way of being? What fresh perspective is asking for our attention right now?”

    2. Feeling (Emotional Connection)
Fresh starts stir up mixed emotions—grief for what we leave behind and anticipation for what lies ahead.
Ask: “What feelings surface when we consider letting go of ‘old wineskins’? Where do we notice both resistance and excitement within ourselves?”

    3. Doing (Action & Application)
The parable reminds us that change is embodied.
Ask: “What small, concrete action can we take today to steward the ‘new wine’ in our lives?”
