Honor
Honor is the recognition of the excellence of another.  When we honor God we honor His excellence for in His infinite wisdom He can take all that we have and give and use it to bless others.  Charity demands that we give of ourselves in service to others and therefore honor God.

We conclude our September Spirit month with a reflection by a member of another Vincentian Family group, the Vincentian Marian Youth. It is worldwide organization of youth who consecrate their lives to the Blessed Mother in service to her Son through the Vincentian virtues and charism. Today, a teenager leader in the group (Mikayla) is sharing our reflection!

Nothing But God's Love
Trusting that God's love for us and for others is unconditional and greater than anything we can imagine.  Loving and praying for others is essential for our own growth.  St. Josephine Bakhita said “I am praying much for them [those who persecuted me as a slave]  that the Lord who has been very good and generous to me may be the same to them so as to bring them all to conversion and salvation.”

This is what all of September Spirit has been moving toward: the celebration of the life and work of St. Vincent de Paul, the patron saint of CHARITY in the Catholic Church! Today is his feast day and special guest has our reflection.

DO NOT FEAR
So often through our day we are afraid of the challenges and difficulties that come our way.  We believe that we have to handle all these things on our own.  We forget to turn to the One who promised He would be with us always.  Today, let us allow Him to help us!
