We've been reflecting on one of the Vincentian virtues all week--Humility. So for our Concert Friday song Im picking one that you all know quite well that speaks to the very heart of the virtue....

GOD'S WILL ?
How do you know if what you're doing is the will of God?  The quote from St. Vincent DePaul today, "If after so much effort and prayer the matter is not successful, it will be a clear sign that God does not will it,"  is a wonderful way of looking at whether or not what we do, desire or discern, is of God.

As we continue our September Spirit highlighting groups in the Vincentian Family-- today we reflect a bit on the religious orders St. Vincent founded, The Congregation of the Mission and the Daughters of Charity (with St. Louise de Marillac).

Humility calls us to give thanks to the Good Giver for every good gift, recognizing our dependence on God in delivering our hearts from self-sufficiency.
